God Loves Children

“Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are older, they will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6)

My passion for working with children inspired me to start my own family daycare. I enjoyed providing new experiences for them and finding joy in their reactions to different activities and environments. So, I created a homeschool environment where we made learning fun! At the beginning, I chose not to continue working for corporate America and instead started my own small business. I attended relevant classes, including CPR and other required courses, to ensure my day care would be a safe and enjoyable environment. I also included educational components in the curriculum. And above all, I wanted them to know about Jesus.

Relying on unemployment checks from my $7.00/hr. job, I saved to buy toys and supplies. My friend, Ilene recommended the Rhodium Swap meet in Gardena for affordable options. Later, with additional support, I was able to shop at Lakeshore and Neely’s for higher-quality educational products. I didn’t mind. These were my kids, and I wanted them to have and experience the best I could provide. They ate what I would eat, and every month when I’d go shopping for their food at Costco, they’d place their orders of what they wanted to eat like they were pulling up to a McDonald’s drive through, and I’d gladly rush down there to fill the orders.

When the Lord gives us children or makes us guardians over them, it is our job to protect and provide for them. They are truly our future, which is why I pray for our children daily to keep the evil one from destroying them or their identity.  Remember, “Children are like wet cement; whatever fall on them leaves an impression.”
